Associate Art Director

Job description

We’re looking for a creative and experienced Associate Art Director to define the visual identity of slot games inspired by western casino art. This role blends artistic vision with production leadership and collaboration with external partners.

Responsibility

• Own and define the visual direction for slot games aligned with western casino art trends.
• Lead and collaborate with external art agencies to execute high-quality production assets.
• Create and guide concept art, symbols, backgrounds, UI/UX elements, and animation references.
• Translate game design and product vision into cohesive and compelling visuals.
• Review and approve vendor deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and thematic alignment.
• Generate detailed art briefs, style guides, and specifications for external partners.
• Manage outsourced production pipelines while maintaining timelines and visual consistency.
• Support optimization and integration of assets for land-based EGM platforms.

Requirement

• 6+ years of experience in game art, with at least 4 years in slot games.
• Proven track record in a Lead Artist or Associate Art Director role with shipped titles.
• Expertise in 2D concept art, theming, iconography, environment design, and UI/UX.
• Strong experience working with external art studios or freelancers on production pipelines.
• Deep understanding of slot player psychology and visual language in casino environments.
• Familiarity with Spine, After Effects, Unity, and animation principles.
• Understanding of technical art constraints such as sprite atlases and resolution management.
• Experience with GLI-compliant land-based slots and EGM layout formats is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAS compliance and multi-display layout standards.
• Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools for art documentation and planning.
• Established network of reliable art outsourcing partners is a bonus.
