Game Experience Designer

Job description

We’re looking for a talented Game Experience Designer to join our client who built a profitable digital board game for iOS and Android platforms with a complete remote team. In this role, you will focus on crafting engaging interactions, fluid animations, and seamless UX to keep players fully immersed in the gameplay. Your expertise will directly impact player retention and completion rates by ensuring a fun, competitive, and strategic experience. As a Game UX Designer, you will work on designing accessible and intuitive interactions that shape the overall player experience. Your design contributions will touch millions of players, influencing how they engage with the game and elevating their overall gaming experience.

Responsibility

• Collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team to shape design decisions that make the game experience even better
• Take the lead in crafting high-quality UX/UI designs that push creativity and usability to the next level
• Dive into player behavior and data, using research to fine-tune interactions and make every session more engaging
• Talk to players, run user research and interviews to gather insights, refine strategies, and turn feedback into real improvements

Requirement

• 5+ years of experience as a Game UX Designer or Game Experience Designer, specializing in interactive and immersive player experiences
• Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar UI/UX design tools for wireframing and prototyping
• Strong analytical skills in player behavior analysis, data-driven UX improvements, and feedback interpretation
• Extensive experience in user research, including player interviews, usability testing, and A/B testing to optimize engagement
• Expertise in interaction and motion design, game animation principles, and 2D asset integration for seamless gameplay
• Deep understanding of game mechanics and designing for accessibility, whether it’s colorblind-friendly options, clear UI, or inclusive design
• A solid eye for graphic design and UI, plus a good sense of how sound design shapes the player’s experience
