Job description

Looking to hire a Lead 3D Artist to join our creative team, specializing in 3D art for mobile games. In this role, you will oversee the creation of high-quality character art and environment art, ensuring that our visual standards are met and aligned with the project's artistic vision. You will lead a team of 3D artists, providing guidance and mentorship while collaborating closely with game designers and programmers to create immersive gameplay experiences.

Responsibility

  • Understand the project's art direction and technical challenges, ensuring they are upheld throughout development.
  • Lead the Level Art efforts, providing solutions to enhance the collaboration between Level Art and the programming team.
  • Supervise and mentor 3D-focused Game Artists to achieve excellence in their work.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively among team members.
  • Produce high-quality 3D assets, level art, and environments for the project.
  • Collaborate with in-house and outsourced teams to communicate and implement art assets.
  • Provide both creative and technical feedback to the team to improve overall quality.
  • Conduct qualitative assessments of all visual elements in the game (environments, props, characters, VFX, etc.) to ensure technical accuracy aligns with the artistic vision.
  • Contribute to and maintain the production pipeline while meeting deadlines.
  • Work closely with the art team to facilitate growth and ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Maintain open communication with other leads and team members.
  • Inspire and motivate a team of creative talents to achieve their best work.

Requirement

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in 3D modeling or related fields, preferably within the mobile game industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in using Unity for asset integration.
  • Successfully led the artistic development of at least 2 shipped mobile titles.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases relevant skills and a distinct visual style.
  • Experience in modeling and texturing a wide range of environments and weapons.
  • Ability to create 3D assets, including props, environments, characters, and textures.
  • Expertise in high and low poly modeling and texturing for mobile game content.
  • Good knowledge of lighting, shading, and baking techniques.
  • Ability to integrate assets seamlessly into the game engine.
  • Extensive knowledge of the entire 3D pipeline for game development.
  • Proficiency in English.
