Senior QA Engineer

Job description

We’re seeking a Senior QA professional to join our gaming team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will lead quality assurance efforts, ensuring our games meet the highest standards of performance and user experience. Collaborate with developers and designers to identify issues and implement solutions, all while fostering a culture of quality across the team

Responsibility

• Manage the end-to-end QA process for mobile games, focusing on Android platforms.
• Develop, document, and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on game requirements and specifications.
• Execute both manual and automated tests to identify bugs, and performance issues, and ensure game stability.
• Collaborate with the development team, game designers, and product managers to ensure smooth testing and issue resolution.
• Prioritize and manage bug tracking and resolution processes, using tools like JIRA or equivalent. Ensure compliance with app store guidelines (Google Play, Apple App Store).
• Perform compatibility testing across multiple devices and OS versions.
• Perform regression testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure the quality of new features, updates, and in-game content releases.
• Focus on performance testing for hyper-casual and casual games (Optional but preferred).

Requirement

• Experience on Android in Hyper Casual and Casual Games
• Proficiency in QA methodologies, test planning, execution, and defect tracking
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to write scripts, etc, to assist with automation is a bonus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document issues clearly and concisely
