Senior Technical Artist

Job description

Looking for Technical Artist who is creative, loves solving technical problems, and enjoys finding new and innovative solutions for game development

Responsibility

• You’ll be the key person connecting the art and programming teams, ensuring smooth collaboration throughout the game development process.
• Design and build pipelines to make the production process easier and more efficient for the team.
• Optimize game assets to ensure they meet technical standards without compromising on artistic quality, always aiming for the best visual results with top performance.
• Integrate assets into game engines like Unity or mobile proprietary engines, ensuring they work smoothly.
• Write optimized shaders using HLSL/GLSL to enhance the game’s visuals.
• Connect various tools and systems, like DCCs (Maya, Photoshop), into a cohesive pipeline to help artists and animators from content creation to game integration.
• Develop and test tools that will support the art team, making their work faster and more efficient.
• Work with the QA team to ensure all assets are tested, bug-free, and ready for release.

Requirement

• Hands-on with game engines like Unity to help create beautiful and efficient game visuals.
• Use tools like Maya to support 3D modeling,animation,and other visual elements in the game.
• Work with C#,Python,or MEL scripting to automate tasks and improve workflows.
• Develop and optimize shaders (HLSL/GLSL) to ensure high-quality lighting and graphics.
• Understand the overall Game Art Production Pipeline,from modeling and rigging to animation and exporting assets.

• Bonus if you know some vector math and have experience with Maya API
