Job description
Looking to hire a Technical Artist who can bridge the gap between art and engineering, ensuring that the visual assets are optimized for performance while maintaining high-quality aesthetics.
Responsibility
- Optimize 3D assets for performance in our game, focusing on low-poly modeling and texture baking.
- Establish and maintain efficient workflows and pipelines for asset integration and performance optimization.
- Create and implement tools/scripts that assist artists and developers in streamlining processes and improving productivity.
- Work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure visual quality and technical feasibility of game assets.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to art assets, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges in the game engine.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to guide team members in asset creation and best practices.
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard software such as Unity, Adobe Photoshop, Blender, and/or Maya
- Experience with performance profiling, asset management, and shader development.
- Experience with particle systems and visual effects (VFX) in Unity
