Responsibilities

• Design mathematical models.
• Develop pay tables, game logic, and probability distributions that align with game concepts and market requirements.
• Simulate, analyze, and improve game performance, volatility, and RTP.
• Work closely with game designers and producers to turn creative ideas into math-driven gameplay experiences.
• Collaborate on game mechanics, feature pacing, and reward systems to create a good fit between math and design intent.
• Provide insights on player engagement, progression curves, and perceived fairness to refine the overall game flow.
• Take part in brainstorming sessions to help shape new game ideas from a math and player-experience viewpoint.
• Prepare and keep mathematical documentation for submission to gaming regulators and testing labs.
• Perform statistical testing and validation of math models during development and after release.
• Use statistical modeling to forecast long-term performance and player outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure the mathematical model is accurately implemented in the final product.
• Analyze player data and adjust future math models to boost engagement and monetization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new game types in the land-based casino sector.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Game Mathematician, Game Designer (Math focus), or a similar role in the casino or gaming industry.
• Strong knowledge of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistics.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, R, or other data analysis tools for modeling and simulations.
• Experience in creating pay tables and RTP models for slot or table games.
• Ability to document and explain complex mathematical models clearly to non-technical teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
